La Salle Technical College in Hohola, Papua New Guinea, submitted a request to the Lasallian Foundation for funding to extend the College library as it was too small to cater for classes and limited opportunities for innovative teaching practices. The library was renamed the Resource Centre to reflect its changed role in the delivery of educational services to students and staff at the College.
The Japanese Lasallian Academy Alumni, through the Lasallian Secretariat for Solidarity and Development in Rome, contributed about $40,000 of the total project cost of $80,000 with La Salle Technical College contributing the balance of the costs incurred.
