La Salle Catholic College is a diocesan secondary school located in the suburb of Bankstown in the south-west of Sydney. The College was founded in 1999 following a re-organisation of Catholic secondary school education in the south-western suburbs of Sydney. The College used the facilities of predecessor colleges on the Bankstown site, De La Salle College (Years 7-10 boys) and Benilde Catholic High School (Years 11-12 co-educational). Initially La Salle was a Year 7-12 secondary school for boys, but in 2016 the College began admitting girls and will be fully co-educational in 2022. La Salle College has a trade training centre which serves students from Catholic secondary schools in the south and south-west of Sydney. There are currently about 700 students attending the school.
The fundraising activities by students at La Salle raised $12,600 in 2019 and $13237 in 2020 for the Lasallian Foundation which was used to support projects at La Salle Urdu High School Campus #2 in Faisalabad in Pakistan. La Salle Urdu High School caters for students from poor families in the city of Faisalabad.
